About The K9 Companions
Founded in Denny in 2017, we provide thoughtful, small group dog walks focused on calm socialisation, gentle rural exploration, and each dog's emotional wellbeing.

Our story and journey since 2017
After owning and training dogs for over twenty years, a friend's gentle nudge inspired me to start professional dog walking so I could walk her dog. Following two years of home boarding, I added group walks in 2017. By 2020, to ensure every dog received undivided attention and care, I shifted my full focus exclusively to group walking. Many companions have been with us right from the beginning, creating steady pack that feels like family.

Understanding canine behaviour and anxiety
Every dog is an individual with distinct emotional needs. Certified through UK Rural Skills in canine anxiety, canine first aid trained, and CPD courses covering canine behaviour, training, welfare, and an interest in canine neuroscience, I bring hands on experience with gun dogs, reactive dogs, and sensitive temperaments. Seeing anxious or hesitant dogs grow in confidence is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Calm, small groups with consistent routines
We keep our groups strictly limited to a maximum of six dogs. Dogs thrive on predictability, so walking with familiar friends builds a comforting routine. Our rural walks are unhurried, offering safe freedom both on and off lead to sniff, explore nature, and engage their senses without stress or frantic chasing. For travel, each dog enjoys complete security in individual crash-tested crates.
